OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL THURSDAY 31ST AUGUST 2017, By Pastor E.A Adeboye.

MEMORIZE:
  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1.5

READ:
Daniel 1:18-20

  18 Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

  19 And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.

  20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
1 Chronicle 25-27, Ezekiel 33:21-29

MESSAGE:
  Wisdom is the quality of discerning what is true, what is ethically right, and what should be done in different situations. Wisdom is fundamentally practical in nature. Although God alone possesses wisdom in the absolute sense, as a benevolent God, He is willing to give His wisdom to all those who seek it in humble reverence (James 1:5). We see the wisdom of God manifested in the work of creation and in the provision of redemption from sin through Jesus Christ.

  Divine wisdom refers to the abilities given by God in every area of life including recognizing and applying the provision of salvation through Jesus Christ, craftsmanship, Knowledge and insight for right decisions in life, and several others.

  Divine wisdom cannot be received by those who put their confidence in worldly wisdom, which is based on human cleverness and insight without God’s revelation. God considers this human kind of wisdom to be foolish. It may produce temporary success in life, but this will come to nothing on the long run. 1 Corinthians 3:19-20 says,

  “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

  Worldly wisdom builds pride and false hope in people, so much so that it makes them arrogate success to themselves to the exclusion of the Almighty God (Proverb 26:12, Isaiah 47:10). In Isaiah 29:14, God has declared that worldly wisdom shall perish.

  Wisdom has its roots in knowledge. Wisdom is the ability to correctly make use of acquired knowledge. Divine wisdom leads to proper conduct because it is built on the fear of God (Job 28:28). One of the dimensions that the Holy Spirit operates in is wisdom (Isaiah 11:2).

  Those who desire to possess divine wisdom will therefore need to cultivate an intimate relationship with Him (Proverbs 1:20-26). The Holy Spirit can fill man’s heart with divine wisdom through revelation. This revelation can come in the place of observing how others live their lives, or through the study of nature.

  Wisdom may also be received as a result of practical experiences of life and from parental guidance. Divine wisdom can only be received by those who are willing to give up all reliance on their own human insight and understanding. As you seek for divine wisdom by one or a combination of ways mentioned here, God will answer you and fill you up with His divine wisdom in Jesus’ Name.

 PRAYER POINT:
  Father, please teach me Your ways and lead me through the path of wisdom in Jesus’ Name.

HYMN 16:
GOD GIVE US CHRISTIAN HOMES

1. God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the Bible is loved and taught,
Homes where the Master’s will is sought,

God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

2. God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the father is true and strong,
Homes that are free from the blight of wrong,
Homes that are joyous with love and song;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

3. God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the mother, in caring quest,
Strives to show others Your way is best,
Homes where the Lord is an honored guest;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

4. God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the children are led to know
Christ in His beauty who loves them so,
Homes where the altar fires burn and glow;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

Transfer Update: Medical Today As Liverpool Finally Sign Naby Keita In Record Breaking Transfer Fee.

Transfer Update: Medical Today As Liverpool Finally Sign Naby Keita In Record Breaking Transfer Fee.

  Liverpool have agreed a club record deal to sign Naby Keita from RB Leipzig next summer and are also interested in prising Thomas Lemar from Monaco before the transfer deadline on Thursday. Keita, Jurgen Klopp’s prime midfield target for this summer, underwent a medical in England yesterday after Liverpool finally reached agreement with Leipzig over the terms of his transfer.

  Liverpool are to activate the £48mn release clause in the midfielder’s contract – a clause that comes into effect at the end of this season – and will pay a premium to secure the deal now.

  Barcelona have been among the rival clubs linked with the Guinea international and Liverpool have moved to ensure Klopp will get his man.

 Leipzig have refused to consider selling Keita in this window but have accepted a deal that will allow them to retain the player for their debut Champions League season while earning more than his eventual release clause.

  The 22-year-old, who had a medical in Wilmslow yesterday and is expected to finalise the move at Melwood, will officially become a Liverpool player on 1 July 2018. Liverpool are keen to add Lemar to their squad in this window, although they are yet to make a bid for the 21-year-old.

  Arsenal have been long-term admirers of the France international but have been informed by Monaco that he is not for sale. That stance may remain unchanged in the face of Liverpool’s interest but the club are expected to test Monaco’s resolve with a club-record offer worth around £60mn, with the possibility of Divock Origi heading the other way.

  Meanwhile, Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will start the club’s next Premier League match against Manchester City after being rested for Sunday’s 4-0 win over Arsenal, manager Klopp said after the Anfield drubbing.

  Mignolet’s omission from the matchday squad raised some eyebrows but Klopp explained that the Belgium international was still his first choice and had been left out to keep him fresh. “Intensity for a goalkeeper is different,” Klopp said.

  “It’s not a physical intensity, it’s a mental intensity. We said we wanted to have three really strong goalkeepers, that’s our situation now. That means you cannot deal with it like you do when you have a clear number three, a clear number two – yes, Simon is a clear number one, but the others are not clear number twos and number threes, they are really strong goalkeepers.”

  Mignolet was handed the gloves at the start of the season, playing in liverpool’s 3-3 Premier League draw at Watford, the 1-0 home win over Crystal Palace and both legs of their 6-2 aggregate Champions League qualifying win over Hoffenheim.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL MONDAY 28TH AUGUST 2017, By Pastor E.A Adeboye.

THEME: BUILDERS FOR GOD

Memorise:
  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58
Read:  Nehemiah 2:1-8
  2:1 And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence.

  2:2 Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid,

  2:3 And said unto the king, Let the king live forever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?

  2:4 Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.

  2:5 And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.

  2:6 And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.

THEME: DON’T RESIST; RUN!

MEMORIES:
 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 Corinthians 6:20

READ:
2 Timothy 2:22-23
  22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

  23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
1 Chronicle 13-15, Ezekiel 32:1-15
MESSAGE:
  While it is important for you to admit your mistakes with a sorrowful heart, it is also important that you learn from these mistakes. Ask yourself: “How did I get here? What did I do wrong? How could I have avoided this outcome?”  To live a triumphantly in this world you need to pay very close attention to what the word of God says and follow it to the letter. 1 Peter 5:8-9 says you should steadfastly resist the devil, so if you resist, but do not steadfastly resist, you will surely fall. On the other hand, in 1 Corinthian 6:18, we are commanded to flee fornication. In this case, God does not require resistance from you, but that you should take to your heels! If you then try to resist instead of running, you will surely fall. Similarly, 2 Timothy 2:22 says,

  “Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”
  Clearly, there is a time to stand and a time to run. If you stand when you should run, you will most likely fall.

  Sometime ago, I told male pastors not to have female secretaries, but some of them who thought they were wiser than I, called it gender discrimination. I told them that after they had become casualties of their wrong decisions, they would remember that I had earlier warned them. One of my very good sons, who knew the Bible very well, hired a female secretary. I asked him, “What are you doing? How can you be in the same office with this lady smiling at you?

 Eventually, you will end up working late with her. Go and ease her out.” He dragged his feet on this. Today, this same person is out of the ministry, out of his home and jobless. If not that he lives in a country where the government provides food for the jobless, he would have starved. Some leaders are still toying with danger. Some piglets once asked the mother pig, “Why are you always grunting?” the mother pig replied, “When you are as old as I am, you will know why.”

  Avoid any source of temptation! Resist when you should and run when you should. Some people take it as an act of cowardice to run from those they feel sexually attracted to. No! It is not cowardice, it is wisdom! God knows how he wired your body, so if He says you should run in a particular situation, please run for your dear life!
 ACTION POINT:
  The Bible has the antidote to every situation; apply it diligently and you will never fall

Super Eagles Striker Iheanacho Impresses As Leicester City Captain Morgan Acknowledge His Talents.

Super Eagles Striker Iheanacho Impresses As Leicester City Captain Morgan Acknowledge His Talents.

  Leicester City captain Wes Morgan has branded his new teammate and Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho "a very, very good player", and said that he cannot wait to play alongside the forward this season.

  The 20-year-old Iheanacho completed a £25m move to the Foxes last week after being reduced to limited first-team opportunities under Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

  Iheanacho expected to make his official Leicester debut in Friday's Premier League opener away to Arsenal, and Morgan has revealed that he is excited to be playing with the Nigerian.

  "He's a very, very good player. He's sharp and quick and he's definitely got an eye for goal," Morgan told reporters. "We did a round-robin tournament today and he was on my team. He popped up with some great goals from impossible positions, which is refreshing.

  "It's good to see someone with that know-how, someone with a different acuteness that adds something to the team. I think he'll come and do a great job for us."

  Iheanacho scored 21 times in 64 appearances for City, including seven in 29 games during the 2016-17 campaign.

  Leicester will kick-off their Premier League campaign on Friday away to Community Shield winners Arsenal.

Barca Manipulated Phil Coutinho, He'll Love To Play For Liverpool Again: Coutinho’s Agent.

Barca Manipulated Phil Coutinho, He'll Love To Play For Liverpool Again: Coutinho’s Agent.

  There’s some big claims coming from the Brazilian media this morning…
It’s not yet reached our trusted English journalists, but in fairness, throughout this saga – Coutinho’s unhappiness has first been reported in his homeland and later by journalists in Europe.

  Estadao claim that Coutinho’s agents are now on the defensive after Liverpool flatly refused to do business with Barcelona.
They’re making noises that Coutinho wants to reintegrate himself into Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI and that he never told the boss he wouldn’t play for Liverpool again.

  What’s more, they’re suggesting Coutinho felt pressured into his hardline stance by Barca’s officials, who assumed a transfer request would heighten the chances of a deal happening.

  ESTADÃO: #Coutinho 's entourage confirms he never had the will to not play for Liverpool but had to follow his representatives instructions.

  ESTADÃO:
It is Barça that manipulated
#Coutinho to threaten Liverpool of never playing again as a tactic to increase the deal's likelihood.
@BrazilStat

  ESTADÃO: #Coutinho will in principle stay and play for Liverpool again, but most probably after the FIFA date vs Ecuador and Colombia.

  Obviously this is a damaged limitation job from Coutinho and his people, who must now finally have realised he’s not going to be allowed a move to Spain before September.

  But for Liverpool, it’s good news. He needs to start training with team-mates again and we reckon there’s an outside chance he could feature against Arsenal at the weekend. More likely though is the game after the international break with Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp Transfer Aggression On Sadio Mane As He Went To Celebrate With Him After Palace Goal.

Jurgen Klopp Transfer Aggression On Sadio Mane As He Went To Celebrate With Him After Palace Goal.

  They needed 73 minutes to score the opening goal but Liverpool eventually secured a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield.
Sadio Mane was the hero, firing home from close range after the Eagles failed to clear.

  While Manchester United have made an incredible start to the season, a 3-3 draw at Watford and 1-0 win over Crystal Palace isn’t going to convince many that Jurgen Klopp’s side can win the Premier League title.
But it’s early days and the German will be delighted to get that first win on the board.

  Liverpool are desperately trying to keep hold of Philippe Coutinho right now, rejecting a £118m bid from Barcelona on Friday. But there's a growing sense that Mane has replaced the Brazilian as Liverpool's most important player.

Mane wanted a hug from Klopp
There was a funny moment after Mane's goal. He ran toward Klopp and attempted to hug his manager, only to be shrugged off.
Klopp wanted his players to get back to their positions and focus, not to engage in any premature celebrations.

  Fortunately for Klopp and Liverpool, they were able to hold on for all three points to secure their first win of the 2017-18 Premier League season.
Klopp: 'I loved the goal'

After the match, Klopp admitted he thought that playing in front of a home crowd did the trick for his side.

  "It was a hard job," he said, per the Express. "I have no idea how much we had the ball but it was a lot. We had moments in the first half but had to be more patient because they were deep.

  "We didn't score but we didn't give counter attacks away. Second half we did it better, the first part was really good.

  "We were really awake and defended really well and I loved the goal because it was not a clear situation. It was a counter pressing situation.
"We had other chances but I am completely happy with how did the job today.

  "Anfield helps a lot I think that was the difference."
Do Liverpool need to sign more players to compete for the title? Let us know in the comments section below!

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY AUGUST 20TH 2017, By Pastor E.A Adeboye.

THEME: THE GREAT VIRTUE.

MEMORIZE:
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
1 Corinthians 13:13

READ:
1 Corinthians 13:1-3

  1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

  2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

  3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
2 Kings 23, Ezekiel 27:26-28:10

MESSAGE:
  “The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”                                       Jeremiah 31:3

  Love is a decision of commitment that is expressed as a strong feeling of affection and attraction. Based on God’s nature and actions, the Scripture gives us insight into the source, character and value of love. The Bible teaches that God is the source of love and that His very character is love. If you have ever been deeply in love with someone to the point of obsession, you will discover that you may lose your appetite and forget to eat because of that person (Song of Solomon 5:2-8). Your mind will become occupied with nothing else but that person. The object of your love is the last thing you think of when you go to bed and the first thing you think of when you wake up. Love involves the totality of a person’s thoughts, feelings and actions. Love is a central theme of the Christian faith and is a primary characteristic of God’s nature.

  “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment."
Matthew 22:37-38

  The first object of our love should be God. We are enjoined to love God with all our heart, soul and mind. Indeed, you need to understand the love of God for you before you can appreciate what true love is. Having received the love of God, God expects you to reciprocate His love by worshiping Him in truth and by showing His love to others. The love of God was manifested on the cross of Calvary. Jesus, with these words, revealed the extent of God’s love for us in John 3:16:

  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

  Out of love, God gave His only begotten Son as the ultimate sacrifice for the salvation of humanity. He then commanded every one of us that has received His love to reciprocate it by loving one another (1 John 4:7-8). The Bible makes it very clear that the proof of love is its expression through actions, especially actions that are taken in the interest of others. Children of God should never be identified with envy, hatred, pride, selfishness, or any form of wickedness. These vices are contrary to God’s nature in us. As Christians, we must always radiate the love of God with meekness, kindness, patience, peace and joy.

 PRAYER POINT:
  Father, please fill my heart with Your love, so that Your love may flow through me to others.

HYMN 18:
ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIER

1.  Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
Forward into battle see His banners go!
Refrain:
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.

2. At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee;
On then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
Brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
Refrain:

3. Like a mighty army moves the church of God;
Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod.
We are not divided, all one body we,
One in hope and doctrine, one in charity.
Refrain:

4. Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng,
Blend with ours your voices in the triumph song.
Glory, laud, and honor unto Christ the King,
This through countless ages men and angels sing.

Philippe Coutinho Told Jurgen Klopp That He Doesn't Want To Play For The Club Again As Liverpool Rejects Third Bid Even With Series Of AddOn.

  According to several reports , Barcelona bid €125m (£114m) for the Brazilian midfielder, a fee that would make hi the second most expensive player in history.
Barcelona had two previous bids, worth £72m and £90m, for Coutinho rejected. He has handed in a transfer request and wants to leave Liverpool for the Catalan club.
Liverpool reject new bid for Philippe Coutino. Barcelona bid £118m, inclusive of huge add-ons. Immediately rejected.

  Barcelona are reportedly close to signing Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund, and it is unclear if they will return with a fourth bid for Coutinho. Liverpool appear unwilling to allow the Brazilian leave for any fee, and are adamant that the player won't leave.

  However, the breakdown of Barca's latest offer may further explain why they are unwilling to sell Coutinho. According to Paul Joyce of The Times , the bid for the 25-year-old was heavily incentive based. Liverpool would have received a guaranteed payment of £82.1m, and £36.5m would have been paid based on the Brazilian's performance.

  One of the add-ons would have been triggered if Coutinho won the Ballon d'Or. Considering he's arguably not even the best player in the current Liverpool squad, it's difficult to imagine such a scenario occurring. Another payment related to Barcelona winning the Champions League.

  Liverpool are adamant they don't want to sell Coutinho for any price, but it is easier to understand why they rejected the bid when so much of it was based on how the player performed at the Nou Camp. When Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009, the Spanish club paid the entire £80m fee upfront. Coutinho has missed the start of Liverpool's season with a back injury.
According to The Times report, he has told Jurgen Klopp that he doesn't want to play for the club again.

Negative Criticism!

Negative Criticism!

Negative critics will talk behind your back and call you 'crazy' even when you're diligently pursuing your goals and the results are showing slowly. But that's fine, if you follow through and are determined to do 'whatever' it takes to achieve your God-given assignment, the same folks will eventually admire your courage and may even join your vision.

People will criticize you or your decisions because not everyone sees what you see. They can't see from your perspective and sometimes, they don't want to. The key is not you going about and trying to explain yourself. How do you explain a Giraffe's decisions to a turtle?

❓So, how do you react when criticized? How do you handle terrible comments from those whose words means a lot to you? Of all the comments you hear about yourself, how do you filter out what to consider and what not to?

And always remember:

Dembele Will Be Expected To Train Separately As Dortmund Rejected A €100m (£90m) Offer From Barcelona For Dembele In Week.

Dembele Will Be Expected To Train Separately As Dortmund Rejected A €100m (£90m) Offer From Barcelona For Dembele In Week.

  Borussia Dortmund have extended the suspension of Ousmane Dembele "until further notice".
The Bundesliga side suspended the 20-year-old for missing training after they rejected an offer from Barcelona and Dortmund boss Peter Bosz had admitted he was unaware of Dembele's whereabouts on Thursday before the club later confirmed he remained in the German city.

  The decision to extend the suspension was taken after a meeting on Saturday night between Bosz, chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke and sporting director Michael Zorc.
"Our focus now is on a concentrated preparation of the team for the Bundesliga opening match against Wolfsburg in the coming weekend," Zorc told Dortmund's website.
"Ousmane Dembele has the possibility to do individual training off the group."

  Dembele will be expected to train on his own while the rest of the squad prepare for their first Bundesliga game of the season against Wolfsburg next Saturday.
Dortmund rejected a €100m (£90m) offer from Barcelona for Dembele in midweek and he was fined and suspended for missing training until after Saturday's German Cup game for the defending champions against Rielasingen.
Dembele won the German Cup with Dortmund last season

  Dembele believes he has a gentleman's agreement with Dortmund to join a club such as Barcelona but the German side deny such an agreement exists.
The France international is a target for the Catalans, along with Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho, as they aim to find a replacement for Neymar following his £200m move to Paris Saint-Germain.

  Dembele joined Dortmund a little over 12 months ago from Rennes on a five-year contract and has attracted top European suitors after a breakout season at the Westfalenstadion.
He scored 10 times in 49 appearances in all competitions in the last campaign while he broke his duck for his country with the winner in the 3-2 friendly triumph over England in June in Paris.

Coutinho Had Informed Klopp And Liverpool Officials His Desire As Liverpool Accept Barcelona Bid.

 Coutinho Had Informed Klopp And Liverpool Officials His Desire As Liverpool Accept Barcelona Bid.

  It's the news no Liverpool fan wants to hear, but it appears as though Philippe Coutinho is on his way out of Anfield, with the Reds reportedly accepting a bid from Barcelona for the Brazilian playmaker.
A Barca bid for the 25-year-old Brazil international had been expected ever since the Catalan club sold Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain in a world record breaking deal, last week.

  The deal that will take the former Internazionale forward to the Camp Nou is believed to be worth somewhere in the region of 90 million (£81.6 million), potentially rising to €120m (£108.8 million) with bonuses and add-ons.
It was reported yesterday that Coutinho had informed Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool officials of his desire to trade Merseyside for Catalonia and now it appears as though he will get his wish, with a delegation of Barcelona officials travelling to Liverpool to finalise a deal, last night.

  The Reds are believed to have rejected an initial bid of £72 million, last month, with Jurgen Klopp informing the La Liga giants that they were wasting their energy trying to land the Brazilian as a replacement for Neymar.

  However, with Barca's transfer funds receiving a significant boost from the Neymar windfall, combined with Coutinho's desire to move to Barca, the Blaugrana have now enabled themselves to make Liverpool an offer they can't refuse for Coutinho, leaving Jurgen Klopp in need of a replacement for his Brazilian magician before the end of the month, with the new Premier League season kicking off, this weekend.

The Self Acclaim Nigeria’s Future President, Gov. Ayodele Fayose Shuts Down Abuja And Promise To Storm Osinbajo’s Office.

The Self Acclaim Nigeria’s Future President, Gov. Ayodele Fayose Shuts Down Abuja And Promise To Storm Osinbajo’s Office.

  It was a sight to behold, as the outspoken Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Saturday, during the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, vowed to personally humiliate and kick out ailing President, Muhammadu Buhari, out of Aso Rock, in 2019.

  Fayose who arrived the Convention arena wearing his 2019 Presidential campaign shirt and cap, equally had his entourage carrying his 2019 Presidential campaign posters, while the crowd gave him a roaring welcome.

  Fayose said: ”I hope Osinbajo is seeing my Presidential posters for 2019, because I am in his territory. I am ready to disgrace the entire APC, and throw Buhari out of Aso Rock in 2019. My words are my bounds.”

  Post-Nigeria gathered that, with the type of reception Fayose received at the Eagle Square today, there is no doubt that he is determined to wrestle power from Buhari, in 2019.

  Recall also, that Fayose had earlier set his words to action in July, when a Facebook page displayed his 2019 Presidential campaign banner, with the inscription: “Fayose for President 2019”, and a sub-slogan that read: “Strong, Reliable and Rugged.”

  The banner had Fayose’s pictorial drawing, with a pair of glasses to match, and a friendly smile.
It also had its major slogan reading: “Together, we can make Nigeria work again”.

  Recently, Fayose in a statement had declared: ”I have penchant for taking powers; that one in Buhari’s hand, I will take it. I’m going straight to that Villa. I’m the next President.
“I want to be the next President of Nigeria. My own won’t be this change that has brought nothing; we are going to represent the people well, and tell them the truth.”

Jurgen Klopp Vow To Acquire New ‘Experienced’ Central Midfielder.

Jurgen Klopp Vow To Acquire New ‘Experienced’ Central Midfielder.

  Jurgen Klopp says he will do everything he can to buy a new centre-mid before the transfer window closes.
We’ve sold Lucas and Kevin Stewart this summer, while Adam Lallana is out for four months with a thigh injury.

  Coutinho may never play for us again meaning the boss currently has four options for three spots: Jordan Henderson, Emre Can, Gini Wijnaldum and Marko Grujic (although James Milner can play centrally too).
“We don’t have too many midfield players in the moment who have experience,” Klopp told the Echo.

  “Are we looking still for players? Yes. That is the truth. But we were looking for players before Adam was injured. Now he is injured and Phil is injured so we have two less.
“It doesn’t make the situation more comfortable. You cannot be really prepared for situations like this but we have time.
“I’m just thinking about Watford and 31st (August)! Yes, I know. Everything can happen. But I’m not sure that they will happen. If I were sure, they would probably already be in or whatever. It’s still open for business.”

  Liverpool were linked to Arturo Vidal last week, although we’d be mighty surprised if we secured the world-class Chilean, having failed on our primary target Naby Keita.
The problem for Liverpool is if we do relent and allow Coutinho an exit, we’ll be armed with a ferocious amount of money but be inclined to purchase a playmaker as well.
At this stage of the window, there’s simply not too many players available.

THEME: CAPTIVES OF THE MIGHTY.

Memorise:

  If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36

Read:  John 5:1-9

5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

Message:

  The reason why many people are so helpless in life today is because they are in captivity. Many are in bondage of sin, sickness, poverty, addiction, demonic posseession and other evil conditions. The resultant effects of captivity include loss of freedom, psychological imbalance, emotional trauma, loss of contact with loved ones, hopelessness and dejection.

  A captive is a person with lost identity. Such a person may have been royalty before being captured by the enemy, but he or she has become a slave and must now live at the mercy of his or her new owner. A captive loses dignity and suffers from low self-esteem and emotional trauma from thinking about the situation that led to his or her captivity.

  A captive is in a worse situation than an ordinary prisoner because a prisoner’s jail term is fixed, but a captive has no hope of being set free. Above all, the situation of a captive is hopelessly filled with regret. The big question is, can a captive find true freedom? The Holy Spirit answers this question in Isaiah 49:24-25:

  “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.”

  Hallelujah! A captive can indeed be set free. Jesus in Luke 4:18 declared that He came to set the captives free:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”

  I bring you good news today: no matter how difficult your experience in captivity has been, and no matter how heavy the chain of affliction is, JESUS is here to set you free! Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah, Redeemer and Deliverer, sent to set everyone who will accept Him as the Lord and Saviour of their lives free from the bondage of Satan, the world and the flesh. What is your problem? Are you operating under the powerful grip of a secret sin, sexual immorality, secret society, a blood covenant or any form of addiction? Jesus, in John 8:36, has these words for you:

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

Jesus came to set the captive free; call on His Name for your deliverance now!

Prayer Point:

  Lord Jesus, please manifest your power to set me free from every form of captivity I am experiencing today.

RCCG SUNDAY SCHOOL STUDENTS MANUAL (LESSON FIFTY) SUNDAY 13TH AUGUST 2017.

TOPIC:  WHAT IS HEAVEN LIKE?

MEMORY VERSE:  "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." - 2Corinthians 5:1

BIBLE PASSAGE: Revelations 21:1-8

INTRODUCTION:
  God created the Heaven and the earth in the beginning (Genesis 1:1). According to the Jewish notion, there are three heavens (2Corinthians 12:2). The first heaven is the air or atmosphere, where clouds gather and birds fly (Genesis 2:19; Lamentation 4:19).

  The second is the firmament, in which the sun, moon and stars are fixed (Jeremiah 8:2; Matthew 24:29). The third Heaven is the "The heaven of heavens" (Deuteronomy 10:14), the home or throne of God and His angels, the invisible realm of holiness and happiness; the home of the children of God. Heaven is eternal (2Corinthians 5:1) and it is a prepared place for a prepared people (John 14:2).

LESSON OUTLINES
1. What is Heaven like?
2. Who are the inhabitants of Heaven?

WHAT IS HEAVEN LIKE?
  Heaven is a building of God and not man-made (2Corinthians 5:1). It is also called the kingdom of God and of Christ (Ephesians 5:5). Surely, it is the Father's House (John 14:2). It is a place of rest (Hebrews 4:9). Heaven cannot be measured (Jeremiah 31:37).

   Heaven is a high place (Isaiah 57:15), a holy place (Psalm 20:6), a happy place (Revelations 7:17), a place without death, tears, sorrow, crying or pain (Revelations 21:4). Heaven is a place without night or darkness (Revelations 22:3-5), a place without hunger, thirst or excessive heat or cold (Revelations 7:16). Heaven is a place of perfect satisfaction (Revelations 22:1-2). It is also a place of perfect righteousness (Revelations 22:3), a place of perfect government, ruled by God, the just One and the Lamb.

  It is a place of perfect communion (Revelations 22:4), where we shall behold His face and His Name shall be on our foreheads. Heaven is a place of perfect glory (Revelations 22:5).

WHO ARE THE INHABITANTS OF HEAVEN?
Let us start listing those who can NEVER be there.
1. The devil and the fallen angels will never enter there (Revelations 20:10; Jude 6).
2. The unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9-10), thieves (Luke 12:33), liars, whoremongers and the fearful will not enter (Revelations 21:8) and anyone in whose life is found the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21).
3. Careless Christians and everyone whose name is not found in the book of life (Matthew 25:24-30; Revelations 20:15).

The following are already there:
1. God the Father (Matthew 6:9), Jesus Christ our Lord (Acts 3:20-21) and holy angels (Matthew 18:10).
2. Enoch, Elijah, Moses and Abraham (Genesis 5:24; Matthew 17:3; Luke 16:23).
3. The Saints of old, all those who have died trusting in Jesus (1Thessalonians 4:14).

CONCLUSION
  Heaven is the holy abode of holy God. Only holy people will get there (Hebrews 12:14). Do you want to go to Heaven? Live holy.

QUESTIONS:
1. What type of place is Heaven?
2. Who will not get there?

THEME: TRICKS OF THE DEVIL II

MEMORISE:
Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.

READ:
 Luke 4:5-8

  5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

  6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

  7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

  8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
2 Kings 9, Ezekiel 23:22-34

MESSAGE:
  Today, we are considering another trick of the devil, which is trapping a person through inordinate desires. This tactic often takes the form of a sweet and generous offer used in sugar-coating a poisonous pill. Such offers can come as a gift, an appointment or a promise of greatness. The packaging of such offers is always tasteful, attractive and elegant, but inside lies destruction. The devil tried to play this trick on the Lord Jesus Himself in today’s Bible reading. In many cases, no matter how much you try, you may not see anything wrong with the whole arrangement at the initial stage, but at the end of the day, you will find yourself entrapped to do the bidding of your “benefactor” against your wish.

  The rich and the powerful of this world deploy this trick in getting what they want. They use the luxuries they can provide to entrap the less wealthy and vulnerable, who may feel obligated to do their bidding. Many victim of this scam have been disappointed, enslaved and some have even lost their lives. I enjoin Christian youths to be warned that those who are addicted to pleasure, who always have their eyes roving and seeking for a luxurious lifestyle, will easily be sucked in and entrapped by these wicked predators.

  The language of Satan and his agents is “All this power will I give thee and the glory of them” (Luke 4:6). I pray that you will not be deceived or fall victim of such wicked deceivers in the mighty Name of Jesus.

  For diverse reasons, this particular trick of the devil is especially potent and effective in this generation more than any other time in the history of mankind. We are in a world where instant riches, riotous living, exhibition of immorality and the pursuit of extreme pleasure have become attractive to people. Now, wealth and fame derived from participation in vices (such as corruption, gambling and drug-trafficking) are being celebrated, even among some so-called Christians.

  Some attributes that used to be highly valued in society such as integrity, diligence, moral principle and godliness, have become  things of the past and are now looked down on. The younger generation seems to have a warped idea of what success really means.

  Consequently, predators are using the weapon of deception to entice vulnerable individuals into evil deeds, such as sexual gratification in exchange for favours, drug-related business, human trafficking, organized crime, internet fraud, and many others, promising quick money, political appointments, business opportunities, rapid job promotions etc. Is anyone promising you something in exchange for “nothing”? Ensure that you do not fall for any deceptive proposal of the devil. The rich and powerful do not give away their favours for free.

  They always ask for something in return, and their demand is usually much greater that their initial investment. If care is not taken, you may lose your own soul in the process. Don’t be carried away by any “delicious” offer, because it is really nothing but deceitful food laden with poison. You’ve been warned!

PRAYER POINT:
  Father, please keep me from ever falling for the tricks of the devil or becoming a victim of fraudsters.

HYMN 7:
OH JESUS I HAVE PROMISED

1. O Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end;
Be Thou forever near me, my Master and my Friend;
I shall not fear the battle if Thou art by my side,
Nor wander from the pathway if Thou wilt be my Guide.

2.  Oh, let me hear Thee speaking in accents clear and still,
I dare not trust my judgment: Thy way shall be my will;
Oh, speak to reassure me, to hasten or control;
Oh, speak, and help me listen, Thou Guardian of my soul.

3. O Jesus, Thou hast promised to all who follow Thee
That where Thou art in glory there shall Thy servant be;
And Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end—
Oh, give me grace to follow, my Master and my Friend.

  4. Oh, let me see Thy footprints, and in them plant mine own;
My hope to follow duly is in Thy strength alone;
Oh, guide me, call me, draw me, uphold me to the end;
And then in Heav’n receive me, my Savior and my Friend.

THEME: SPIRITUAL ARMOUR

Memorize:

  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  Romans 8:37

Read:  Ephesian 6:10-18

  6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

  6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

  6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

  16:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

  16:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

  6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

  6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

  6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

  6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching there unto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Message:

  Weapons of war usually fall under two major categories: offensive and defensive. Body armour can be classified as defensive weapons of war against missiles, projectiles and handheld combat weapons; they work as protective covering, designed to safeguard vital parts of the body.

  Today’s Bible reading talks about spiritual warfare, revealing how the different parts of physical body armour mirror the spiritual armour available to us as believers in Christ. We have at our disposal invisible weapons of spiritual warfare that are potent against the wicked assault of the enemy.

  In Ephesian 6:11, our spiritual armour is referred to as the armour of God, which implies that it possesses divine attributes, making it indestructible by the power of the devil. We are invited to “put on the whole armour of God”. However, this armour is inaccessible to those who have not accepted the Lordship of Jesus Christ over their lives.

  Putting on the armour of God is equivalent to putting on Jesus, and He is more than enough to protect us against all evil and temptations we may encounter. Romans 13:14 says,
“But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.”

  Putting on Jesus involves accepting Him as Lord and Saviour, meditating on His word day and night, living a life of holiness, and spreading His gospel. I pray that in the heat of the battle of life, the armour of God will be your strong defense in Jesus’ Name.

 The Bible used the imagery of physical warfare to communicate a powerful spiritual message to us in Ephesian 6:10-18. Firstly, we are asked to gird our waist with the sturdy belt of the truth. It’s with this same belt that our sword is fastened to our body. In the days of old, a soldier girded in this manner was recognized as being on active duty. We are expected to gird ourselves with truth as the foundation of all our spiritual activities. Next, we are to find our protection in righteousness. Also, our feet should be ever ready to move with the gospel of peace.

  We should arm ourselves with the shield of faith to quench all the fiery arrows of the enemy. To protect our head, the most important part of our body, we must put on the helmet of salvation. The helmet of salvation is required to protect our spiritual destiny. Finally, as soldiers of Christ, we are to wield the “sword of the Spirit” which is the spoken word of God.

  As the only offensive weapon mentioned, this is the soldier’s most important weapon, and it is supplied by the Holy spirit. I decree that God will fortify you and make you untouchable to the devil in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point:

  Father, please prepare and equip me for battle as a good soldier of Christ in Jesus’ Name.

HYMN 18: ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIER

 1. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
Forward into battle see His banners go!

Refrain:
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.

  2.  At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee;
On then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
Brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
Refrain:

  3. Like a mighty army moves the church of God;

  Virgil Van Dijk Is Awaiting For Liverpool's  Offer For His Services As He Finally Handover Transfer Request.

   Virgil Van Dijk is awaiting a Liverpool offer for his services, with the Dutch man still extremely keen on a move to Anfield this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
On Monday, Van Dijk released a statement via his agency Wasserman which revealed that the player has submitted a written transfer request to Southampton.

  “ I want to play European football again and challenge for major honours. As such I would like Southampton to consider the interest in me from top clubs should it still exist.”
  Liverpool’s interest in Van Dijk went public in June, when the Reds were forced to release an apology statement regarding their pursuit of their top summer transfer target, after Southampton reported Liverpool to the Premier League for an alleged illegal approach of their player.

  However, Liverpool have not made moves for any other centre-back’s and Jürgen Klopp remains keen on signing Van Dijk this summer.
If and when it becomes clear that Southampton are open to offers for their captain, then the Reds will lodge a bid which would shatter their current transfer record and make Van Dijk the most expensive defender on the planet.

  Chelsea are also said to be lining up a bid for the ex-Celtic man, but Van Dijk remains keen on working with Jürgen Klopp and believes a move to Liverpool is the next best step for his career. The Daily Mirror’s Darren Lewis believes Van Dijk is desperate to get his preferred move to Anfield.

  1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

  2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

 BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
2 Kings 1-2, Ezekiel 21:18-32

 MESSAGE:
   In Genesis 17:1, for the first time, God revealed Himself as El-Shaddai: the Almighty God. Here, He was reiterating His wonderful promises to Abraham at the age of ninety-nine, particularly that he would bear a son, despite him and Sarah being very advanced in age.
 Prior to this revelation, God had been identified as the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and He had also made Himself known as the God who knows all things.

   However, this time, He wanted to introduce Himself as the God who has the power to do all things. The eternal power of the Almighty is evident in the work of creation, and at a more personal level, the exceeding greatness of His power is expressed in all believers by the regeneration of our spirit man, through the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead (Romans 1:20, Ephesians 1:19-20).
  Several accounts in the Bible teach us that the unlimited power of the Almighty is always at work in any given situation to make all things go according to His original plan and purpose. For example, in the book of Ruth, Naomi was the only survivor of a tragic family decision to sojourn in the land of Moab.

   After a ten-year absence, the Lord brought her back to Bethlehem in His character as Jehovah, the covenant-keeping God. Later on, in His capacity as the Almighty, He exercised His power to implement His purpose in the life of Ruth and Naomi, so much so that the same circumstances that Naomi found to be bitter in Ruth 1:20 went on to bring about great joy and celebration at the end of the day.

   What a mighty God we serve! I therefore decree into your life, no matter what you are passing through at the moment, the original purpose of God for your life shall be established in the mighty Name of Jesus.
  The almightiness of God can be translated to mean that with God, nothing shall be impossible. The Almighty God has proved Himself beyond any reasonable doubt in this regard. The book of Genesis reveals the power of God to bring everything we see in creation today into reality from virtually nothing.

  Exodus showcases among others things the execution of the ten plagues and the final deliverance of Israel from the hand of pharaoh in such a miraculous way. Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy highlight the journey of the Israelites through the wilderness with great miracles and wonders attending to them daily.

  Joshua records how a feeble, worn-out and ill-equipped nation of Israel was assisted by the Almighty God to destroy and inherit the lands of nations consisting of giants. The list is inexhaustible! I therefore decree, that the power of the Almighty God will work in your life today to do the impossible, in the mighty Name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINT:
  Father, You are the Almighty, please do a mighty thing in my life today in Jesus’ Name.

 HYMN 3:
HOW GREAT THOU ART

1. O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Refrain:

Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

2. When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.
Refrain

3. And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.
Refrain

4. When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"
